New number 2 goalkeeper?
Randolph going to Middlesborough.

Reports of Adrian leaving?

We would need a number 2 keeper to Hart?

Options?

Re: New number 2 goalkeeper?
It's becoming increasingly clear we would not improve the no 2 spot by selling Adrian. He's under contract for the next couple of years so we should just tell him he's staying.

Darlow is shit.

Rather have Green back,

Re: New number 2 goalkeeper?
If Newcastle want Adrian we should ask for Darlow in part exchange. Wouldnt be against Green coming back either

Pretty much all successful no 1 keepers ever?

Re: New number 2 goalkeeper?
Rd - Don't agree. There will be plenty of time next summer to sign a new no.1. How many number 2's have ever become successful no 1's? You haven't thought this one through.

Re: New number 2 goalkeeper?
If Adrian levels then ideally we should be looking to sign a keeper who can challenge Hart and take over longer term if we don't keep Hart.

So who is Mike Hunt?

What name did he post under last season? Quickly becoming a fucking pain in the arse who needs wiping out.

if adrian stays, which i hope, he wont have long to wait for a start, hart is fucking aysmal now, i couldn't stand randolph, but even he would be preferable

As said will be more than happy to see England's No6 back with us great for penalty shoot outs.

Re: New number 2 goalkeeper?
Thank I read somewhere that Rob Green made more errors that led to goals than any other Championship keeper last season.

Right up our strasse.

Be well happy if Green gets the job.

Re: New number 2 goalkeeper?
Why not?
He fits the profile of most number 2 keepers ... mid 30's , happy to be second choice.
Leeds are presumably looking for a younger less expensive first choice keeper. Suspect Green was on higher wages than the average Championship keeper.

Re: New number 2 goalkeeper?
Cant believe we are being linked with Rob Green, seen as surplus to requirements by the once mighty Leeds,*sniggers................,surely not.

"bookmakers Bet Victor claim West Ham are joint second favourites to sign Green at a price of 4/1, behind Sunderland who are evens"

Re: New number 2 goalkeeper?
I see Alex McCarthy is still a reserve at Southampton. When he was at Reading, everyone was predicting an international future for him. I wonder how good he is now. Only 26.

Re: New number 2 goalkeeper?
2 games vs City and all the cup games........so 2 more then!

Green is available and would sit on the bench and accept his 4 starts, personally would like a younger promising keeper
